Meet the Team

  • Ron Nicolaysen

Ron Nicolaysen is the engine behind the workshop. With a career as a professional fashion photographer, Ron is a well aknowledged artist.
In later years he has also pursued numerous projects, including his book Mediterranean Portraits published in 2007.

  • Ronny Naess

Ronny Næss is the other part of the workshop team. After a career as a professional fashion photographer with clients including Tique, Elle, Her, The New, record companies and advertising agencies, Ronny continued teaching photography at a Norwegian private high school.

  • Kristian Ringen

Kristian is the third member of the team and brings a strong technical foundation to the workshop. He works professionally with photography across weddings, portraiture, music, and commercial projects. With a sharp eye for detail and a talent for problem solving, he helps bring structure and flow to both creative work and production logistics.

  • Kristian had Ronny as his photography teacher in high school. And before that, Ronny was Ron’s assistant.
So in a way you could say that this is a business going back generations :)

A graduate of University of the Arts London (UAL), he focuses on personal documentary and visual storytelling, often through self-published work like Sleepwalking, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, and The Holy Waffle. During the workshop, Felix will guide students through the process of presenting their work—and help each one produce a small, personal photo book.
